Welcome to the Northern Light Trust
Encouraging Christian Leadership
The Northern Light Trust was formed in 1996 primarily for the care and encouragement of those in pastoral ministry in the Christian church worldwide, of whatever denomination. To this end, the Trust has provided a place of retreat in Scotland (Olrig House in Caithness until 2007, and Burnside Lodge in Angus currently) for ministers in need of renewal and refreshment. Undergirding all this is a solid commitment to the importance of the Christian Scriptures in all matters of faith and conduct, especially in the context of a local preaching ministry.
This website thus has two major sections:
- a description of our current location for 'retreat ministry'. You may read the brochure on-line, or download it, or request we send you one in the post.
- a library of over 200 sermons delivered in various settings over recent years by the chairman of the Trust. We do encourage you to seriously explore this significant resource.
From time to time, we may also include links to other Christian organisations particularly supported by the Trust.
